Mounted Archery

The Ultimate Bond

Experience the thundering rhythm of the horse and the silent flight of the arrow. Mounted Archery is the pinnacle of the Valkyrie experience. It is a discipline of speed, balance, and trust. Whether you are an experienced rider or a bold beginner, our program is designed to take you from your first nock to a full gallop on the track.

Monthly Group Clinics

We bring the Valkyrie spirit to arenas across Scotland and Northern England. These sessions focus on building skill, speed, and precision within a supportive community of riders.

Braco – Our central hub.

Dumbarton – Serving the West Coast and Glasgow.

Lockerbie – Convenient for the Borders and South West.

Hexham – Our premier location for Northern England.

Note: Own horse is required for all mounted clinics. All levels are welcome, and specialised archery equipment can be provided.

Private Training & Bespoke Sessions

Accelerate your progress with one-on-one coaching tailored to your specific goals. Private sessions are available on weekdays:

At The Nest: Train at our dedicated home sanctuary with our expert instructors.

At Your Location: We bring the range to you. If you have the space and your own horse, we provide the coaching and mobile setup to get you started in your own backyard.

How to Join the Ranks

Ready to take aim? Follow our two-step process to get started.

Step 1: Your First Session (Beginners)

Safety and foundational skills are our priorities. All new students—including experienced archers or riders new to the combined discipline—must complete an introductory session.

To Book: Use our Contact Form.

What we need: Briefly detail your experience with horses or archery. We will then schedule your "Ground-to-Saddle" assessment and intro.

Step 2: Regular Group Training

Once you have completed your initial training and are cleared by an instructor, you’ll be invited to join our regular riding community.

The App: We use SPOND for all monthly group bookings.

Why SPOND? Once you are a member, you can view upcoming dates at all four locations, manage your availability, and receive real-time updates on weather or venue changes directly to your phone.

Booking Private Sessions

For weekday private training—either at The Nest or your own yard—please reach out via the Contact Form to discuss your requirements and travel logistics.
