Terms & Conditions
Valkyrie Archery: Terms & Conditions
By booking, you agree to the following:
1. Booking & Participation
Health & Fitness: By booking, you confirm you are in good physical health and have no medical conditions that would make archery or horse riding unsafe.
Age Requirements: Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at The Nest. For Mounted Archery, specific age/weight limits apply for the safety of our horses.
Safety Briefing: Participation is strictly conditional on attending the safety briefing. Failure to follow instructor commands will result in immediate removal without a refund.
2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, leisure activities booked for a specific date are generally exempt from the standard 14-day "cooling-off" period. Our policy is as follows:
More than 48 Hours Notice: You may reschedule your session or receive a full refund (minus a small admin fee, if applicable).
24–48 Hours Notice: We can offer a 50% refund or a one-time reschedule for a fee of £5.
Less than 24 Hours (or No-Show): No refunds or rescheduling will be permitted, as we have already allocated staff and resources.
Provider Cancellation: If Valkyrie Archery must cancel due to extreme weather or unforeseen safety issues, you will be offered a full refund or a priority reschedule.
3. Liability & Risk
Inherent Risk: Archery and equestrian sports are "inherently dangerous" activities. While we take all reasonable steps to ensure safety, participants accept the risk of accidental injury.
Scottish Law (Occupiers' Liability): In accordance with the Occupiers' Liability (Scotland) Act 1960, Valkyrie Archery maintains a duty of care but is not liable for injuries resulting from a participant’s failure to follow safety instructions or negligence.
Damage to Equipment: We reserve the right to charge for the repair or replacement of equipment (bows, arrows, tack) damaged through reckless or intentional misuse.
4. Mounted Archery Specifics
Equine Behavior: Horses are flight animals. Participants acknowledge that horses may act unpredictably.
Helmet Policy: A British Standard safety helmet must be worn at all times when mounted.
