The Valkyrie Youth Sponsorship
At Valkyrie Archery, we don’t just teach a skill; we cultivate the next generation of mounted archers. Our Youth Sponsorship is a prestigious award reserved for students who demonstrate more than just accuracy—it is for those who show true tenacity, a warrior’s discipline, and a genuine love for the sport. This sponsorship is our investment in a young archer’s journey, providing the elite tools and mentorship needed to move from the range to the competitive arena.
What the Sponsorship Includes:
The chosen athlete will receive a comprehensive support package designed to level up every aspect of their craft:
Elite Mentorship: 12 hours of intensive, one-on-one coaching at The Nest or in the saddle.
The Ultimate Experience: Free entry to our annual Valkyrie Camp.
Warrior Kit: Full Valkyrie-branded competition wear and professional-grade horse wear.
Educational Support: Specialised training materials and technical guides.
Strategic Growth: A dedicated goal-setting session to map out their season and personal development.
This isn't just a trophy; it is a partnership. We are looking for the student who lives and breathes the bow—the one who is the first on the range and the last to leave.
Youth Sponsor 2025-26
Libby Davison
Libby- "Thank you Lauran for making me your youth sponsor2025-2026. Before the year of sponsorship I already knew that I loved horseback archery, it’s a lot of fun and inclusive. I made quite a bit of progress with my shooting and my riding. The hardest part was my confidence, I didn’t want to shoot infront of other people or work with other coaches because I was worried about what they thought of my archery and how I rode my pony Murphy. When Lauran granted me the sponsorship it gave me the boost I needed. The sponsorship showed me that I am capable of anything. This year I’ve worked with new coaches alongside Lauran, made progress with my archery grades, trained with new friends, entered competitions, shared Murphy with others (because he’s the best archery pony ever!) and I’ve got a plan for next year too!"
Helen (Libby's mum)- "Libby Started her mounted archery journey with very little confidence in her riding skills & a certainty that she absolutely did not ‘belong’ in any of horsey activities she’d tried previously.
She began shooting off her pony with Lauran & it was instantly clear that she’d found her niche when it came to horse sports. What didn’t disappear was the deep rooted doubt in her own abilities.
Lauran saw potential in Libby & awarded her a Valkyrie Archery Youth Sponsorship. This was the boost that Libby needed. Her year of support, coaching & development with Lauran brought Libby’s mounted archery skills on, the plan & goals Lauran made with Libby at the start of the year were achieved.
Libby got something else from the year that we hadn’t anticipated. The confidence that had been missing. The faith Lauran showed in her let Libby see the ability & potential in herself.
Thanks Lauran, Libby now has the self belief to keep developing her mounted archery without limits!"

Youth Sponsor 2024-25
William Dixon
William- "I was really excited to be chosen as Lauran's youth sponsor, because I knew that access to more training would help me to get a lot better at archery. Getting the sponsorship box was brilliant, there was so much cool stuff inside it. I got to go to Nationals, which I wouldn't have been able to do without Lauran's support. The highlight of my sponsorship year was beating Lauran in the Tower 90 at UK4Nations, thanks to my speed points - in the future I hope to be able to shoot as many target points as Lauran can!"
Louise (William's mum)- "My son William was Valkyrie Archery Youth Sponsor for 2024/25. He was really honoured to be selected, especially as he had only started horseback archery a year earlier, and being selected gave him an immediate confidence boost. Having branded kit made him take his archery more seriously as he had standards to uphold, and the goal setting and training sessions made a huge difference to his archery progress - during his sponsor period, he completed his Intermediate Horseback Archer qualification, achieved his Student 4 Grade and was Grassroots Canter Champion at British Horseback Archery Association National Championships, none of which would have been possible without the sponsorship package. For me, the biggest benefits have been the increase in William's confidence overall, coming from feeling part of a team, and the friendships he has made."
